On “Aomen Lu,” “Observatory” and “Catatonic”

For these works, I have used the technique of photo emulsion on metal plates.
The photos depicted on the plates are night scenes of Shanghai in a devastated state.
The final product is a nostalgic representation of movement and change. The photos give you a feeling of the passage of time – perhaps time is moving forward, but things are nonetheless preserved in our memories.
